Schedule installs in spring or fall to avoid summer peak-season contractor backlogs and to test cooling strategies before June–August demand spikes. In summer, use timed charging and Austin Energy load-management programs where available to reduce costs and grid strain, and routinely check seals and gaskets on outdoor chargers after heat and storm seasons.
